Which is your favorite? We'll be visiting with kids ages 9, 6 and 4. We'll have time for 1 or 2, but not all 3. Looking forward to your opinions! Hands down City Museum , it is a wonderful place for kids of all ages. The Science Center would be nice if it wasn't free - it seems a lot of exhibits are down whenever we go. The other two will be a hit with your kids. Second choice - especially with those age kids - Magic House, the kids will really enjoy it. Science Center is iffy - especially for the younger ones.

If the weather is pretty, the zoo is also always a big hit - and free to boot. I personally love the City Museum , but it can be a handful to go through with little ones. There are tunnels to climb through and fast slides. I know many people who have been injured. The Magic House would really appeal to the under 10 crowd. Things are made just for them, you don't have to follow them through everything as there are employees everywhere.

There's a buy one get one free coupon in the Entertainment book also. It was such a cool place I loved it too! There is no where else like it! It is like a modern art jungle gym meets craft studio and has this awesome fun baby! There is so much to climb on and explore. We loved the art section. We cut out snowflakes and made cool clay sculptures to take home. I decopaged a photo frame with all St Louis stuff for a keepsake. We all loved it! The architecture there is so cool to look at.

The zoo was great too- they had a stingray exhibit and for 3. We smelled like fish the rest of the day but it was worth it. We enjoyed the science center too. It was free and they had dinosaurs, space exhibits and some neat science demonstrations. We had time the day we went to the science museum to make a 45 minute stop to the art museum- which suprisingly the kids really liked!

Have fun on your trip! The Magic House is great for all these ages, with interesting exhibits for different age groups. My children ages 2 and 7 are there once a month or so their grandparents are members and it just doesn't get old. The advantage to the Magic House is the variety it offers, the fact that you pay a cost up front and there's little add on after admission, and it's a big air conditioned building.

The Science Center is also great for the various ages you will be visiting with. The disadvantage is the cost. It's very difficult to find free parking and if you do find it, there's a walk invovled. The building itself does not have an admission fee, but there are some cool things to do in the building that will cost you. Both of these are extra and the discovery room has a time limit. The advantage is the large building, air conditioning, and great exhibits for all your ages.

The City Museum is fun, especially for older kids. It's hands-down the best place for teens. But I'd skip it for your kids. There are a number of places where it is very easy to lose sight of your children, especially if you are not atheletic yourself. Slides will go through multiple turns, even changing floors. If you can trust your oldest to keep track of your youngest, then it might work out. But it's expensive and difficult to manage for the younger kids. I'd put that on the list of things to do once the kids are a bit older.

While I respect everyone's opinion, I disagree that City Museum isn't for younger kids. We have been taking most of our grandkids there since they were four or five. Yes, it is very easy to lose kids there but CM is fun for parents and grandparents! This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity.
